We know how important it is to educate the youth in our community and promote the humane treatment of animals while they are young.
(Children for the Humane Animal Treatment)- After School program
The Bay Area Humane Society offers after school programs for youth to get involved with the animals at the shelter and become advocates for their furry friends. Children for Humane Animal Treatment (CHAT) is an educational club that the Bay Area Humane Society is offering for youth ages 8-12. The club meets every other week and teaches youth lessons about responsible pet ownership and how to provide the best possible care and future for companion animals.
To sign up - Download the CHAT brochure here, fill out the form, and return it to BAHS in person or by mail with payment included to reserve your child's spot. Cost is just $35 per term plus $10 for their CHAT T-shirt (if needed). If your child has been a CHAT Club member before, they can wear they previous CHAT Club T-shirt.
CHAT Club Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, every other week from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
